“Saturday Night Live” Weekend Update hosts Colin Jost and Michael Che witnessed former anchors Seth Meyers, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler slamming their desks together for a “joke-off.”
The three stopped by to condemn a woman who broke a record by giving birth to a 13-pound baby at a Tennessee hospital. Some of the jokes included:
*”The baby was so big that he slapped the doctor’s butt.”
* “Did she give birth or was the baby kicked out?”
* “She broke a hospital record and broke her husband’s penis to prevent it from happening again.”
Poehler was the host of the episode, and Fey also jumped in by playing Kristi Noem during the night’s chilly opening.
The returning trio spent much of their time hosting Weekend Update, as Fey was behind the desk with Jimmy Fallon from 2000 to 2004, Fey and Poehler took over from 2004 to 2006, and Poehler and Meyers took over the show from 2006 to 2008. Myers then hosted the segment solo from 2008 to 2013.
Elsewhere in the update, Jost and Che posed for a photo at Arby’s (“Arby’s announced it’s adding a new item to its menu called Steak Nuggets, although if you eat enough Arby’s you can make your own Steak Nuggets.”), Gen Z (“More Gen Z men are moving back in with their parents, taking over the household chores, and calling themselves ‘Legacy Sons’ instead of their old nickname ‘Failures'”). Secretary of Health and Humanities Services Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. (“RFK said this week that circumcised men are more likely to have autism. Not surprising, coming from a man who looks like he’s made of foreskin.”)
