Selena Gomez started her Galentine’s Day a little early last night in Los Angeles. Her brand, Rare Beauty, hosted a girls night at Max & Helen’s (a popular LA diner where people line up for hours for waffles).
The venue was decorated with pale pink ribbons and balloons, and Gomez and her guests wore cozy and glamorous pajamas. Gomez herself stood out in a sleeper black party pajama set, accessorizing with a marquise diamond engagement ring and a pink Valentino Garavani bag.
She teased her cozy vibe and engagement and wedding bands before the event.
Inside, she posed with guests including Uche Nwosu.
She also shared her look on Instagram, highlighting her marquise diamond engagement ring and pink Valentino Garavani purse.
Rare Beauty also posted photos of the party on Instagram.
This will be Gomez’s first Valentine’s Day since marrying Benny Blanco last fall. Last year, Interview magazine published an interview between Gomez and her then-fiancé and now-husband while they were on vacation. The two talked a lot about love, and the magazine asked Gomez if she had any relationship advice.
“Oh, I don’t think my life is understood at all. The simple answer is that I actually feel valued. I feel seen. I feel respected. And that’s all I really wanted. I feel like I was all alone in the world. I was alone for five years before we started dating, and I think that’s what made me appreciate people like Ben. He feels so weird when I say this, but when I really mean it. 10 years ago, there was no place in my life that I could accept the patience or unconditional love he would give me.
Blanco offered more succinct advice. “Happy wife, happy life. Shut up and listen to your partner. I don’t think people listen to their partners enough.”
“But everyone is different,” Gomez cautioned.
“I don’t think men in general listen to their partners enough,” Blanco says. “And treat people how you want to be treated. Find your best friend and don’t compromise. That’s my best friend.”
