Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco enjoyed their first awards date as newlyweds at yesterday’s Golden Globe Awards, and the couple didn’t rush to head to the afterparty once the ceremony was over. Gomez took to her Instagram Story to share exactly where she was headed. He went out to dinner with a group that included his “Murder in the House” co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short. “Breakfast for dinner after the Globes,” she captioned her shot.
Gomez attended the ceremony wearing Chanel and was very loving on the swing all night long. They kissed on the red carpet.
And they maintained a close relationship during the ceremony.
The “Only Murders in the Building” actress was nominated for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Series (Musical or Comedy).
She and Blanco married in September. In a mid-November interview with Zane Lowe, she spoke briefly about her married life, saying, “It’s been such a dream so far. I know there’s going to be ups and downs, but he’s the most beautiful person I could ever marry.”
She also explained why she is drawn to acting more than music at this point in her career. “I think what I get a lot from the creativity of film or television or performance outside of music is a different feeling that I can’t explain other than connecting with the character. I connect with the pain of the character.” And all of that is so interesting to me, being able to dive into other people’s emotions.”But when you put yourself out there[as a pop star]and it’s just you, I think it can be a little scary. ”
