Selena Gomez revealed the surprise gift Benny Blanco left her after her Fortune Summit appearance. Blanco wrote a note to Gomez saying, “I know I’m being dramatic, but every day without you feels like forever!” Selena recently opened up about why she felt scared after the wedding, even though she was happier than ever.
Selena Gomez made a special trip to Washington, D.C., this week, where the Rare Beauty founder attended Fortune magazine’s Most Powerful Women Summit. Her new husband, Benny Blanco, missed her very much while she was gone and prepared a special surprise for her.
Gomez posted the gift on her Instagram Story. It was a basket filled with her favorite snacks, including M&M minis, Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, Fritos scoops, and Airhead Extremes Bites. Blanco included a note that read, “I know I’m being dramatic, but a day without you feels like an eternity! I wanted you to feel at home when you came back. I love you.”
This isn’t Blanco’s first big move. He also planned a surprise prom for Gomez (since she never got to experience one as an adult) and filled his backyard with candles after her night at the 2025 Emmy Awards.
Earlier this year, Blanco spoke in an interview about how lucky she was to find Gomez and why he goes out of his way to make her days special.
“Before I was with her, I remember thinking, ‘You know what? I’m going to quit everything I’m doing and focus all my energy on growing up and being with the right person,'” he said. “Right now, I worship the ground that she walks on and I feel like she’s the same as me. There’s no ego between us. She prays for me to win and I pray for her to win. And I wake up in the morning and I know she’s doing the same, but I think, ‘How can I make her life better?'” Hugging her isn’t enough. I want to be inside her whole body. I just have feelings for her that I can’t even explain. ”
Life with Blanco is so wonderful that it literally scares the singer. During the summit, Gomez spoke about the fear she felt after marrying Blanco last month.
“This is how I personally work, but something great happens in my life. I expect something bad to happen,” she prefaced. “So instead of sitting there and saying, “Okay, we did something amazing,” which I do, I’m always thinking, “Okay, but tomorrow it could all be gone, so what can I do to make sure that doesn’t happen?” “Then, instead of enjoying things, I just get absorbed in them.” Sometimes when great things happen, I think that’s my biggest struggle. When I got married, I was sobbing because I thought, “I might die the next day.” I think it’s just the little things in life. ”
