The Russo family is on the tough path of wizards beyond Waverly Place.
The Disney Channel series will return to Disney+ on Friday, September 12th, and Wednesday, October 8th.
The series features the revivals of David Henry (Justin Russo), Janis Lean Brown (Billy), Alcaio Thierre (Roman Russo), Max Matenco (Milo Russo), Taylor Cora (Winter), and Mimi Gianopoulos (Giada Russo).
A glimpse into what comes to the wizard for the Waverly Place sequel series, a summary shared with people: “Billy addresses the fact that being a part of the Russo family may be more complicated than you think.
“Thanks to the new magical powers of Rome and Milo, Justin is now tasked with training three young wizards for the family wizard competition,” the summary continues. “As interests rise both within and outside the family, new mystical threats emerge.

People can announce that Justin will first show the trailer for Season 2, in which he will be holding lessons on Billy, Rome, Milo and Wizard.
This shows a major change as Billy learned lessons alone before Rome and Milo gained power.
“You’re not the wizard I’m teaching anymore because the boys are powerful now,” Justin says. “We have to be prepared to compete in the family wizard competition.”
Roman proudly declares that “only one” can “be a family wizard and maintain our strength”: “Everyone knows it will become me!”

But Billy asks to do something different. “I think I’ve locked up this competition,” she says.
However, it appears that Roman is catching up to her level pretty quickly, so Billy may have spoken too quickly. So she suggests in Pal Winter that “I have to do something.”
Ignoring Winter’s recommendation to “study harder,” Billy tells Rome to “cast a spell.” Her attempts quickly backfired as she missed hitting Rome with her wand.
“You missed it!” Roman says. “You’ll never miss it.”
Justin notices the changes within Billy and feels as if he has “lost his strength.”
“I can’t shake up the feeling that something big is happening,” says Justin, talking to his wife, Ziada.
The trailer then cuts into a mysterious, dark figure who shares an ominous declaration. “I use all the powers of Billy to satisfy the prophecy,” says the creepy character.

Worried about what danger she could pose, Billy states that she “don’t want to be the one who destroys the world.” She is then shown to escape into the Wizard’s world.
Ultimately, Justin assures Billy that he “is not alone anymore” and “will never be.”
Some scenes show magic and scary. It seems there are even moments when Billy is taking part in normal teenage activities.

Billy later joined Lassos on a trip to somewhere that Justin claimed was “completely safe.”
However, once you enter, the gang is almost blown up by someone on the other side of the room. It turns out that the person is Alex Russo, aka Serena Gomez.
The Gomez character, who won the Family Wizard Competition in the 2012 Wizards of Waverly Place series finale, was sleeping on the couch before waking up, lifting a sleep mask from his eyes.
“Alex? What are you doing here?” asks Justin.
“Ah, sorry,” Alex says sarcastically. “I live here!”

From there, Alex says, “Maybe you’d lifted your head up to me where you showed up at my doorstep.”
“Like a head-up, you gave me before you showed up at my doorstep with Billy,” Justin retorted, and Alex replied, “Touché.”
Wizards Beyond Waverly Place debuted in October 2024.
Created by Todd Greenwald, the series follows Justin, who lives a life among humans along with his wife Jada and sons Rome and Milo. But it all changes when Billy, the wizard in training, drops at Justin’s place, hoping he will coach his teens.
It is a sequel series to Wizards of Waverly Place and ran on the Disney Channel for four seasons from 2007 to 2012. The original series starred Gomez’s Alex as a young wizard, navigating various misfortunes during training for the Family Wizard Competition, creating the wizard of Waverly Place.
