On August 27, Gomez reposted the engagement announcement on Swift and Travis Querce’s Instagram stories, writing, “When Bestie got engaged.” She combined this post with Queen’s classic track “You Are My Best Friend.”
The actress and singer also highlighted a nostalgic moment from nearly 20 years ago. In 2009, Swift wrote to Gomez on Twitter:

Swift and Kelce announced their engagement to a joint Instagram post on August 26th. The caption read, “Your English teacher and gym teacher are married.”
The singer’s engagement ring shown in one of the photos is a custom Artifex Fine Jewelry design. Experts estimate that cushion-cut diamonds set in intricate gold bands with side stones are worth up to $500,000, between 7 and 9 carats. The vintage-inspired details show what the jeweller described as a “heirloom appearance.”
Kelse’s father, Ed Kelse later revealed that the NFL tight end had proposed a few weeks before the official announcement. He kept it intimate and asked Swift to marry him at his home in Missouri.
Meanwhile, Gomez announced her own engagement to producer Benny Blanco in December 2024, captioning her post, “Forevers Beginns Now.”
