The search for Annie Guthrie and Savannah Guthrie’s mother Nancy enters its seventh day, with authorities seen searching Annie Guthrie’s home in the middle of the night.
According to NewsNations’ Brian Entin, police were seen taking photos at Annie and her husband Tommaso Cioni’s home in Tucson, Arizona, from late Saturday until around 10:30 p.m. in Montana.
The newspaper reported that agents brought a silver briefcase into the house.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Office did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
The search comes after Savannah and her siblings, Annie and her younger brother Camron, offered to pay their mother’s ransom in a heartbreaking video posted to Instagram on Saturday night.
“We received your message and we understand it,” the “Today” anchor said. “Please return our mother to us now, so we can celebrate with her.
He added: “This is the only way we can achieve peace. This is something that is very valuable to us and we are willing to pay the price for it.”
Tracy Walder, a former CIA official and FBI special agent, later told Page Six that she felt the latest messages were “contrived” and “scripted.”
Walder said: “Is this a ransom for a body? Are we paying to get a body back? Or are we paying to get a human being back? Words like ‘celebrate’ not only suggest a memorial service or a funeral, but they also convey that we want to throw a party when she comes home.”
Investigators are desperately searching for clues to Nancy’s whereabouts after her car, camera and floodlight were seized from her home early Saturday morning.
President Trump insisted Saturday that investigators are very close to solving the kidnapping case, telling reporters he has found “very strong” leads and believes “we may soon have some answers.”
The 84-year-old was last seen at around 9:30pm on January 31, when her son-in-law Sioni gave her a ride home after having dinner with her daughter Annie.
Her family called 911 on February 1st after she failed to show up for church in the morning.
Savannah, who was scheduled to host the Olympics in Italy, abandoned her organizing duties and flew to Arizona with her family as the devastating search for her mother continued for a week.
On Monday, police announced that Nancy’s home was considered a crime scene after her blood was found on the balcony of her Catalina Foothills home.
Also on Monday, police made the shocking announcement that they believe she was kidnapped from her home in the middle of the night, and that multiple ransom notes have since been identified.
On Wednesday, Savannah and her siblings made their first desperate plea against their mother’s kidnappers in a shocking video.
“We live in a world where voices and images are easily manipulated. We definitely need to know that she’s alive and that you have her. We want and are ready to hear from you,” Savannah said, imploring her kidnappers to contact her.
On Thursday, Kamron posted another video to his kidnapper confirming his desire to talk.
Police have not yet identified any suspects or persons of interest and have told the public they are “monitoring everyone.”
The FBI confirmed earlier this week that there is a $50,000 reward for information that could lead to Nancy’s rescue.
The first ransom deadline passed on Friday, but authorities confirmed a second deadline on Monday.
Walder, a former CIA officer, told Page Six earlier this week that he believed Nancy had been “stalked for some time” before her abduction.
Meanwhile, Gayle King exclusively told Page Six on Saturday that “everyone” within the broadcast community is “rallying around” Savannah.
“It’s very disturbing. It’s a very strange case and there are still many questions,” she told us. “Let’s hope people do the right thing. Someone knows something and it’s time for that someone to speak out.”
