Sean “Diddy” Combs has a heated conversation with his lawyer in a first look at his upcoming Netflix documentary.
The streaming platform released a 56-second trailer for “Sean Combs: The Reckoning” on Monday, opening with a clip of the music mogul languishing in a New York City hotel room six days before his arrest.
“I have to find someone to work with who has been in the dirtiest business,” the Grammy winner, 56, said in what appeared to be a phone call with his lawyer.
In the Sept. 10, 2024 video, Combs, who was wearing black athleisure, appeared anxious as her knees bounced up and down.
“We’re losing!” he added angrily.
The following week, Combs was taken into custody and charged with prostitution, racketeering conspiracy, and transportation to engage in sex trafficking by violence, fraud, and coercion.
At the end of an eight-week trial in July, the rapper was found guilty of two counts of transportation for the purpose of prostitution, but acquitted of two other more serious charges.
Mr. Combs, who also faces numerous sexual assault lawsuits, was sentenced to 50 months in prison and is currently incarcerated at Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institute in New Jersey.
Page Six broke the news in December 2023 that 50 Cent (real name Curtis James Jackson III) was executive producing a documentary series about Combs’ legal battles, which Netflix confirmed the following September.
Proceeds from this series will benefit victims of sexual assault.
A teaser released last month promised “explosive, never-before-seen material, including exclusive interviews with those who were once in Combs’ orbit.”
Monday’s trailer announced that jurors will be interviewed in the four-hour episode, as well as Aubrey O’Day, Combs’ Bad Boy Entertainment co-founder Kirk Burrows, and others.
The documentary series will be released on Tuesday.
Combs’ legal team plans to appeal the conviction, but he was originally scheduled to be released from prison on May 8, 2028.
However, Page Six exclusively reported last month that his release date has been extended to June 4, 2028.
The update comes shortly after Combs made headlines for allegedly consuming “homemade alcohol” and participating in a prohibited three-way phone call.
He denies any wrongdoing.
