Sean “Diddy” Combs has denied allegations that he drank alcohol while serving time at the low-security Federal Correctional Institution at Fort Dix in New Jersey.
“Rumors that Mr. Combs was caught with alcohol are completely false,” the Bad Boy Records founder’s team said in a statement posted to X Saturday.
“His only focus is to be the best version of himself and get back to his family.”
TMZ reported on Friday that Combs was accused of drinking a “homemade alcohol” recipe that involved fermenting a mixture of sugar, Fanta soda and apples, and his team released a statement.
Prison officials insisted they had “no information” regarding the allegations, despite a source telling the outlet that the disgraced music mogul had been in “troubles with prison officials.”
Additionally, a representative for Combs told Page Six that Combs has been “adapting, refining himself, and focusing on improving every day” since relocating to the prison grounds late last month.
“As with any high-profile person placed in a new environment, there will be many rumors and exaggerated stories during their stay, most of which are untrue,” the spokesperson said.
“We ask that people please give him the privacy to focus on his personal growth with grace and purpose, without raising any suspicions.”
Combs, 56, claimed he was “sober for the first time in 25 years” before being sentenced to four years and two months in prison last month.
“I am on a journey that will take time and effort,” he said in a letter to Justice Arun Subramanian.
“I am proud to say that I am working harder than ever before. I am dedicated to my journey of being a drug-free, non-violent, and peaceful person. I thank God that I am stronger, wiser, cleaner, clearer, and sober. God makes no mistakes.”
As part of his sentencing, Combs was also ordered to participate in mental health and substance abuse programs and pay a $500,000 fine.
Combs was first arrested in New York City in September 2024 and was found guilty of transport for the purpose of prostitution in July.
At the time, the co-founder of the rebellion was being held in the Metropolitan Detention Center without bail. in Brooklyn, New York.
Mr. Combs expects: be released from prison May 8, 2028.
