Vietnam Skyline Media introduces Scotty, the latest acquisition in Busan’s Asian content and film market.
The family-friendly animation focuses on partnerships between Scotty, a homeless cat, and Katie, a domestic cat. The project required six years of development, with over 300 artists involved in its creation.
Voice talents include Penelope Rollins, known for “Peppa Pig Tales,” along with William Hope (“Alien”), Stuart Milligan (“Wonder Woman 1984”), Dario Coates (“You”), and Jessica Predy (“Greta”).
“Scotty” will be participating in a wide range of titles published by Skyline on ACFM, ranging from horror and thrillers to cybercrime and black comedy projects.
Skyline has established itself as a key player in content distribution in Southeast Asia, dealing with over 800 global titles in Vietnamese releases, representing over 150 regional productions for international sales in over 50 regions.
The company’s recent slate includes “The Ancestral Home” by Huynh Lap, the best-selling spiritual film in Vietnam’s history. Khuong Ngoc’s “The Real Sister” is one of Vietnam’s biggest family dramas in 2024. Vietnam’s first thriller was “The Fatal Dealz,” which focuses on high-tech and AI-driven scams. “Gemini,” Vietnam’s first horror film, centers around twins in the womb. “The Silent Game” is a thriller that explores the dangers of body shaming and social media. “The Bride” is a Thai and Vietnamese co-produced about a ghostly wedding dress. “Beheading,” a character of Cambodian fears about the ancestral spirit that threatens the generation of their families. “Hoang Thuy Linh: Vietnamese Concert Film” records the career-defined performance of a world-renowned pop sensation with her viral hit “See Tình.”
The market will be operated at the Bexo facility in Busan from September 20th to 23rd.
