A professional athlete has been sliding into Sydney Sweeney’s DMs, and it’s reportedly irritating her boyfriend Scooter Braun.
According to The Sun, the Christie actress, 28, is said to be ignoring the messages and blocking the senders, while sources claim Brown, 44, finds the messages “constantly” “incredibly rude.”
There seems to be trouble in paradise for the pair, as insiders point out that there are some other issues in their relationship.
Sources also claimed that Brown felt “outraged and disrespected” after Sweeney met up with ex-fiance Jonathan Davino in Los Angeles last November.
The source added that “old-school” Brown also disputes Sweeney’s need for his time.
“Sydney has always been very independent,” the source explained. “She values her alone time, whether it’s traveling alone, going out with her girlfriends, or just turning off. Scooter prefers company, but she’s still adjusting to that.”
Representatives for Mr. Sweeney and Mr. Brown did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
Davino and Sweeney parted ways in March 2025 after nearly seven years of dating. Brown was previously married to mining heiress Yael Cohen, 38, for seven years.
Sweeney and Brown’s first relationship surfaced shortly after their split, after they met at Bezos and Sanchez’s wedding in Venice in June 2025.
According to industry sources, the actress followed Brown in Venice. Although he was initially concerned about the 16-year age difference, the couple quickly hit it off.
In October, a source close to the two exclusively told Page Six that Brown’s relationship with the much younger “Euphoria” star is real.
“He really, really loves her,” the source said, adding that he’s “never heard” Brown sound like he’s in love with someone like this.
“I can tell you this is very real and he’s very happy,” said another person who knows Brown.
After their romance took off, the two stars have been spotted out on a number of public dates since then.
The pair reportedly spent Labor Day weekend together at scenic Lake Tahoe, and in October they held hands during a double date with Sweeney’s parents at a Halloween event in Los Angeles.
In November, they were photographed packing on the PDA and having a heated make-out session in New York City’s Central Park.
