Chase Chrisley was dressed in rehabilitation to tackle the alcohol struggle and “many traumas” in the series finale of his family’s show.
The 29-year-old spoke about experiencing “many emotions” surrounding decisions on Tuesday’s “The Chrisleys: Back to Reality.”
“I need to go and deal with a lot of the trauma I buried,” explained the “scary” reality star. “I just thought I could fill it up and fill it up and fill it up.”
In treatment, Chase wanted to “just… find myself.”
He was accompanied by his girlfriend Jody Lane Fornelatt and father Todd Chrisley.
“Your life story doesn’t have to be that I have alcohol and substance abuse issues,” said the real estate broker (56). “It’s not about your life. It’s part of it. That’s the chapter.”
Todd said he referenced his time over the accusations and bank fraud conviction before President Trump relented him in May, saying he “was in prison for 28 months.”
He and his wife, Julie Chrisley, were both released in the same month.
In his confession on Tuesday, Todd spoke about the addiction struggle of eldest son Kyle Chrisley, which is “prepared” for Chase’s troubles.
“I thought going through this with Kyle would kill me,” he recalled the 34-year-old, adding that this time he was confident, “God (God maintains a protective edge.”
“That’s what I pray for every single day, every night for all my kids,” Todd continued, admitting that Chase’s rehabilitation felt “sad.”
“I’m leaving (I know) that I had to take my son to rehabilitation,” he said. “I’m on the plane and it’s sad that he’s not with me.”
Chase’s substance abuse issue made the headline in January when he was arrested for getting drunk and slapping a bar manager.
Two months later, Chase revealed his drinking.
“It feels better than I’ve had for years, almost a month of alcohol-free,” he captioned a smiling Instagram selfie. “God is good.”
