Michael Feldman flew to Arizona to support his wife, Savannah Guthrie, as the search for his mother-in-law, Nancy, continued.
The businessman was photographed passing through Tucson International Airport on Tuesday afternoon.
He held his head high as he was escorted out by airport staff.
Feldman, 57, was wearing a gray sweatshirt, jeans and sneakers.
The consultant, who married Savannah in 2014, had two carry-on-sized suitcases and a backpack.
They were spotted traveling together in Florida over the weekend, but their two children, Bale, 11, and Charlie, nine, did not appear to be with them.
Meanwhile, the “Today” show host remains in the Grand Canyon State as the search for her 84-year-old mother continues into its 17th day.
Nancy was last seen by her daughter Anne and son-in-law Tommaso Cioni on January 31, after the latter dropped her off at home after dinner.
The next morning, authorities were notified of the family’s disappearance when the family patriarch did not attend church services.
The FBI then released home surveillance footage showing a masked, armed suspect disarming a front door camera in the early morning hours of February 1st.
Savannah, 54, reshared the video and photos on Instagram, pleading again for her mother’s safe return.
“Someone knows this person,” she wrote. “I believe she’s still outside. Let’s take her home.”
Police detained several people, but they were released as they were not connected to Nancy’s kidnapping.
Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos acknowledged it could take “years” to find Nancy, but investigators are now trying to detect Nancy’s pacemaker using a Bluetooth signal detector.
Mr Nanos also confirmed that the elder family members, including Sioni, Anne, Savannah and her son Kamron, have been cleared as suspects.
The FBI has increased its reward to $100,000 for “information leading to the location of Nancy Guthrie or the arrest and conviction of those responsible for her disappearance.”
