Savannah Guthrie posted a heartbreaking social media message as the search for her missing mother Nancy Guthrie continues.
The “Today” show co-host uploaded a photo of a painting depicting the Ascension of Jesus Christ to heaven over the weekend via his Instagram Story.
“Oh my soul cries, my soul cries,” was written above the art.
Savannah added her own words to Sunday’s upload, sharing her wish to “bring her home” along with a yellow heart emoji.
The color has been used as a symbol of hope, especially since Nancy was reported missing from her Arizona home on February 1st.
Neighbors brought yellow flowers and ribbons to show support for the Guthrie family after the 81-year-old was abducted from her home in the middle of the night.
Savannah, along with brothers Annie and Camron Guthrie, took a break from their NBC morning show to deal with the tragedy, but returned in April wearing a yellow dress.
“It’s good to be home,” she told viewers at the time. “Ready or not, let’s go! Let’s report the news.”
Her colleague Craig Melvin sat next to her, wearing a suit and yellow tie.
Savannah sported the same bright hue the following month to honor Nancy on her first post-Mother’s Day broadcast.
“We will never stop looking for you,” she wrote on Instagram over the holidays. “We will never be at peace until we find you.”
That week marked the 100th day since Nancy’s disappearance, and officials had “scaled down” the search, Page Six reported.
“This is not a rescue operation,” former FBI agent Jason Pack explained last month. “At this point, they’re looking at it as a recovery and a criminal investigation.”
Savannah made a similar admission in a video addressed to her mother’s kidnappers in February, saying: “She may already be gone. … And if this becomes a reality, we’re open to it, but we need to know where she is.”
Her family has offered $1 million for information leading to Nancy’s return.
