Sarah Paulson has revealed that she got a tattoo dedicated to the late actress Diane Keaton in honor of the actress.
Paulson paid tribute to Keaton on Monday, what would have been his 80th birthday. The “American Horror Story” actress posted a photo of the two together on the beach, and in a second photo, she showed off Keaton’s initials “DK” tattooed on her wrist.
“You would be 80 years old today,” Paulson, 51, wrote. “There are so many deep emotions that I can’t write them here.”
“I was the luckiest person in the world to travel, laugh till I cried, watch a million movies, cry real tears, and eat fries with you,” she continued. “You. You. Wonderful, unique, you. I will miss you until the end of time.”
The actress tagged celebrity tattoo artist Winter Stone (real name Daniel Winter) in her post, thanking him for “forever reminding me” of one of her “forevers.”
Wintour shared more photos of Paulson and the tattoo in a post to her Instagram on Monday.
“You’re a great friend!” he complimented. “What you did for your people in a time of deep sadness was just
wonderful! I’m happy to share that moment with you. ”
Keaton died of pneumonia in October 2025 at the age of 79.
Last month, Paulson paid tribute to the “Annie Hall” star at The Hollywood Reporter’s Women in Entertainment Gala and revealed that she had saved some of Keaton’s voicemails and text messages.
She read several humorous messages to the audience, including a voicemail in which Keaton wrote, “Sarah, I hate your cell phone. It’s always full and I can’t leave a message. You idiot, what’s your address? Go home, you disgusting idiot. Diane.”
“How are you? I want to know everything. When will you be back? You sent me an email recently, but it disappeared. Don’t ask me why. Don’t ask me what I did. I’ve always been a loser.”
Holding back tears, Paulson read an email he wanted to send to his late friend.
“Dear Idiot, I just want to say I’m sorry your voicemails are always full,” she said. “Every time you call, I want to say I’m sorry I’m not available. I want to tell you how much smaller the world is without you.”
Paulson also shed tears while talking about her late friend at the Los Angeles premiere of Old’s Fair in December.
“But all I can say is… it’s important to me to let you know what you thought of her as a performer and even more as a person,” she told Access Hollywood.
