Julia’s home, a children’s hospice charity, dropped Sarah Ferguson after apologizing for the leak of the late Jeffrey Epstein over the weekend.
The organisation publicly cut ties with the Duchess of York after correspondence with sex offenders made headlines on Saturday.
“Following information shared this weekend about her communication with Jeffrey Epstein, Duchess of York, Julia’s family has decided that she is inappropriate for her to continue as a charity patronage,” a statement read on Monday.
“We advised the Duchess of York on this decision and thanked her for her past support,” the company concluded.
Ferguson’s representatives did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Page 6.
The Daily Mail revealed on Saturday that the 65-year-old contacted Epstein in April 2011 and “humble apologise” for “humble apologizing” for his friendship in a standard evening interview.
At the time, she expressed her “deep regret” and promised that “he gave her” would have paid back what she had given her and that she would never have anything to do with Jeffrey Epstein again.”
However, the royal family later wrote to him:
Calling Epstein “a steadfast generous and best friend,” Ferguson added:
“I was instructed to act at the utmost speed if I had the opportunity to hold on to my career as a children’s book author and a child philanthropist,” she continued.
Written that the message came from “the truth of (her) heart,” Ferguson claimed that she and Epstein were “condemned for something we had never done.”
She wanted to “think about the impact of her actions” rather than moving out of the place “take a day or two to consider the impact of her actions.”
However, Ferguson’s representatives claimed to the outlet that Ferguson was “engaged in Epstein’s lie” at the time.
“As soon as she knew the extent of the allegations against him, she not only slammed him out of contact, but also to the extent that he threatened to sue her for his association with pedophilia,” the spokesman argued.
“The email was sent in the context of advice the Duchess was given to try and relieve Epstein and his threat,” the official claimed.
Epstein was first arrested in 2006 for soliciting prostitution, pleaded guilty to a plea deal and served for 13 months.
When he was again detained in 2019 for a conspiracy to commit sex trafficking and sex trafficking of minors, he died at the New York City Correctional Center while awaiting trial.
As Page 6 previously reported, Ferguson’s ex-husband was friends with Epstein after meeting in 1999.
After Andrew, 65, was caught up in the Epstein scandal and was accused of sexual abuse by Virginia Giuffre, who recently died of suicide, Queen Elizabeth II took him out of royal titles and duties.
Despite years of eviction war with King Charles III, Andrew still lives in the Royal Lodge home.
