Sarah Sherman set up her debut comedy special on HBO.
Title after her vulgar alter ego, “Sara Squam: Live in the Fresh” will premiere on Cable Network and HBO Max in December.
In the special, the “Saturday Night Live” star “rips from the restraint jacket and unleashes the jokes that leave a skid mark in your soul.”
Take it from the shaman.
On Saturday, Sherman will begin his fifth season with “SNL.” Here he is known for his quirky sketches and appearances on “Weekend Updates.” In 2023, she appeared in Adam Sandler’s “You Are Not Invited to My Bat Mitsuba” and she became a star in the upcoming Sandler-generated Netflix film Roommates. “If you can feel like the special plugs directly into the live wire, this is definitely it! Sarah’s first special is very unique. She’s hysterically entertaining, very creative and has this special special unforgettable boldness.”

Ronald Bronstein, Eribusch and Josh Safdy of Central. Matthew Vaughn for Rotten Science. Jack Bensinger. The special is directed by Cody Critcheloe, known for his music project Ssion.
