Some of Rock’s biggest names have joined forces, but it’s not yet clear.
Sammy Hagar appears to be gathering a selection of rock legends for yet another supergroup. This time, the lineup will be for Dad Rock enthusiasts every 10 years. In an Instagram post shared on Monday, September 22, former Van Halen frontman (77) posed alongside some of his lockers, teasing the group as “just starting out.”
In the clip, Hagar posed with nickelback frontman Chad Kroger and Metley Crew drummer Tommy Lee. The trio wrapped their arms around each other as Redlockers shared an inexplicable message about their apparent collaboration.
“Well, here we are. They are the three best singers in rock and roll,” joked Hagar, who guided the 50-year-old Kroger and hung his head in laughter.
“And you say, ‘What are those three guys doing?’ Well, it’s hard to say,” Hagar teased. “We’re just starting out. We get it.”
In the video caption, Van Halen alumni wrote: And another rocker, Green Day frontman, Billy Joe Armstrong, added a stamp of approval to the comment and wrote “Legend.”
Currently in the middle of his Las Vegas settlement with Mötley Crüe, Lee said nothing in the video, instead hugging a bouquet of flowers to the camera as Hagar in the middle of a Vegas residency, sharing a message with viewers.
62-year-old Mötley Crüe Drummer also chose not to share anything about his apparent collaboration with the two lockers, leaving his tight lips closed on his own Instagram. But another musician did.

Charlie Benante appears to be in the mix, according to anthrax and Pantera Drummer (62-year-old Pantera Drummer shares on Instagram).
Also, on September 22nd, Benante shared a group photo with Hagar and Kroger. It has revealed that the supergroup’s first business will be single.
“When you come and get a call to play drums on the songs these two are doing… you’re going to drop anything that’s going to,” wrote Anthrax Drummer. “What a spontaneous thing, so much fun. Thanks to both #chadkroeger @sammyhagar @nickelback.”
