During her Short and Sweet Tour in Pittsburgh on Oct. 23, Sabrina Carpenter jokingly busted Gigi Hadid and selected her as the night’s “Gorgeous Girl.” The two had a flirtatious exchange while Carpenter tossed Hadid’s signature pink handcuffs before performing her song “Juno.” The arrest is a tradition on Carpenter’s tours, which have featured guest appearances by celebrities such as Millie Bobby Brown and SNL’s Marcello Hernandez.
Midway through her Short and Sweet Tour in Pittsburgh on Thursday, Sabrina Carpenter continued her signature arresting streak, this time with Gigi Hadid. Before Carpenter began singing his song “Juno,” he spotted the supermodel in the crowd and referred to her as a “gorgeous girl” during the night’s arrest.
“Gigi, wow, where are you from?” the singer asked, leaning into her flirtatious onstage persona. When Hadid answered, “Bucks County,” where her family’s farm is located, Carpenter, also from Pennsylvania, teased, “Wow, maybe we’re soulmates! Gigi, you’re so hot and flustered.” Then, as Hadid smiled and kissed her, she handed the model a pair of furry pink handcuffs (a recurring gag staple). “This is for you guys, Gigi,” Carpenter told the crowd before launching into “Juno.”
Hadid, who walked the runway at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show last week, attended the concert wearing a white short-sleeved T-shirt with printed lace and animal print details. She then posted a snapshot from the show to her Instagram Story, captioning one photo of Carpenter, “Hi angel,” and the other, “Guilty as charged.”
The playful arrest has been a fan-favorite tradition throughout Carpenter’s tours, which have previously featured guest appearances from celebrities such as Millie Bobby Brown in Atlanta, Emma Bunton in London, and Saturday Night Live’s Marcello Hernandez in Los Angeles.
In his October cover story for Vogue Italia, Carpenter opened up about his comedic approach as an entertainer, particularly his commentary on men, love and relationships. “Part of life is to downplay the moments that maybe make us uncomfortable, at least it did for me,” she said. “Throughout my life, I felt like humor was just this. And it wasn’t always humor. I think most of the time it was some kind of wit that saved me. Humor was always there to make sure that at the end of the day I was protecting myself for the future.”
The “Tears” singer will continue her North American tour with stops in New York, Nashville, Toronto, and Los Angeles, and her short (and sweet) South American tour begins in March 2026, before returning to the U.S. as a headliner at Coachella.
