When it comes to dating, Ryan Seacrest looks for “simple things” in potential partners, like “politeness towards strangers.”
“When you’re running, walking or riding your bike, do you say hi to people you pass?” the game show host, 51, said on Monday’s episode of “On Air with Ryan Seacrest,” listing red flags for dating.
“If you don’t, I don’t know you very well. And if someone says ‘good morning’ to you on the street and you don’t respond, that’s a red flag.”
“I take everyone out for a little exercise. It’s a test,” he added.
His other dating struggles have to do with his morning routine, the “Wheel of Fortune” star revealed.
“I’m really looking forward to waking up and drinking coffee,” Seacrest continued. “If you can’t share that moment together, I think that’s a red flag.”
“So ‘I need coffee’ is a green light. Don’t drink a lot. No milk or anything,” he added, prompting backlash from co-hosts Tanya Rudd and Sisany.
But Mr. Seacrest remained true to his opinion. “Green flag, black coffee drinker,” he exclaimed.
Seacrest then mentioned the loud alarm and declared that anyone interested in him “can’t have something that’s going to ruin their day in the first place.”
“It has to be something like a chime. Not a hardcore alarm, but something like a feel-good alarm. A chime. A green flag,” he clarified.
As for refusing the final date, the host added that he was looking for “someone who can be ready within 27 minutes.”
“Because it’s not 30. It’s not 25. It’s 27. Green flag. If you’re there for over an hour and I’m there for over an hour. What are you doing?” he shared.
“How many poses can you do in front of the mirror for over 90 minutes?” he continued.
“What are you doing? I think you have to get back to work. You missed the window. Your time is up. You missed the window to do anything.”
Seacrest had been single for a while after quietly splitting from model Aubrey Page. The former lovers broke up in April 2024 after dating for three years.
But the TV star may have better luck in the future, as he joked in March that he was looking for love on Tinder.
Prior to his relationship with Page, Seacrest was romantically involved with model Shayna Taylor from 2017 to 2020.
He also dated Dancing with the Stars judge Julianne Hough from 2010 to 2013.
