Ryan Reynolds was called “rude” and “scary” following his recent interaction with children’s reporters at the Toronto International Film Festival.
In the video on social media, Reynolds appeared to be making a boring joke to a child while walking the red carpet at the premiere of “John Candy: I Like Me.”
“There’s nothing funny about this. Kids don’t understand these types of ‘jokes’ where the person is rude to them.
“It’s one thing to joke with adults, but kids don’t get what you think is a joke,” the creator of the original tweet continued in response to another commenter called “Deadpool” star “Manarin.”
“Ryan and Blake are very mean and mean to those they consider “under there,” he said, referring to Reynolds’ wife, Blake Lively, who was attacked for past interviews amid a continuing legal feud with Justin Bardoni.
“Tell me about making a nervous child more ti-ill. Jerk!” Another X-user shared.
Another angle of the interview showed that Reynolds seemed confused when he first stopped to talk to a young child. He then greeted Reynolds and stopped by with a reporter who said, “Hello Ryan, nice to meet you.”
“Suggestion” actor, 48, wasted time after his greeting and jokingly told the child, “Let’s skip the question.”
However, Reynolds put on a more sensitive tone when answering a child’s questions about his Tim Horton breakfast sandwich.
Sources tell Page 6 that Reynolds was jokingly “not rude” but was spent time on the carpet.
“TIFF staff were closing the red carpet and thrustling at Ryan. They said they couldn’t stop for an interview anymore, and in fact he spoke to him at many events, so he stopped himself for the child reporter,” says the insider.
“He was never rude. Many other reporters were trying to ask questions, because that’s why he bent over to the kids to get him to ask questions.”
Reynolds representatives did not immediately respond to a request on Page 6 of comments on the interaction.
Negative comments about Reynolds came in the wake of Lively’s claims that Bardoni, his Wayfarer Studios, and his PR team, had launched a smear campaign against her in retaliation due to accusations of sexual harassment that “ends on our director.”
Last month, text messages and emails allegedly proved Bardoni’s involvement in the scheme.
Lively, 37, has summoned several content creators, media personalities and journalists in the incident, claiming that they are all involved in some way.
