“Running Point” Season 2 release date decided

Season 2 of ‘Running Point’ is set to officially return on Netflix on April 23, and the streamer is teasing its next chapter through the release of first look images of the upcoming season. The sports comedy stars Kate Hudson and is executive produced by Mindy Kaling, Ike Barinholtz and David Stassen.

Season 1 introduced viewers to Ira Gordon (Hudson). Ira Gordon (Hudson) is an astute and underappreciated executive who unexpectedly finds himself running the Los Angeles Waves basketball franchise in the wake of a high-profile scandal.

In Season 2, the stakes are even higher. The synopsis reads: “Ira Gordon is no longer a surprising choice to lead the Los Angeles Waves, but someone everyone is watching. Now that the team has finally recovered from last year’s scandal, Ira Gordon is determined to prove that she’s more than just warming up her brother Cam (Justin Theroux)’s seat. What she doesn’t know is that Cam is secretly working behind the scenes to win back her post, turning every slip-up into ammunition. She’s trying to balance the pressure, and every decision she makes on and off the court is important.

The ensemble cast includes Drew Tarver, Scott MacArthur, Brenda Song, Fabrizio Guido, Chet Hanks, Toby Sandeman, and Uche Agada, with recurring guest appearances by Ray Romano, Max Greenfield, and Jay Ellis. Hudson also serves as executive producer along with Howard Klein, Jeanie Buss, Linda Rambis, and producer Jordan Rambis.
