Rosie O’Donnell’s daughter Chelsea has been charged with assault for allegedly touching a man’s genitals without his permission, TMZ reported on Tuesday.
The alleged incident is outlined in a report written by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, which explains why Chelsea’s probation was revoked late last year.
According to a report obtained by TMZ, Rosie’s 28-year-old daughter sexually assaulted her while she was driving, with the alleged victim sitting in the back seat on the passenger side.
Chelsea allegedly reached behind her and touched the man’s inner thigh, then his genitals.
When the man “turned her down,” Chelsea allegedly became upset and “started driving erratically, not paying attention to the road.”
According to TMZ, Chelsea later spoke with those involved and denied assaulting the man.
Page Six has reached out to Rosie’s representatives and the Wisconsin Department of Corrections for comment.
Chelsea’s probation was revoked and she was sentenced to prison in October 2025.
At the time, officials with the Marinette County Treatment and Drug Court team told Us Weekly that Chelsea was in violation due to sexual assault allegations.
The official also claimed that Chelsea has shown minimal progress in its therapeutic drug program.
According to People, the conditions of Chelsea’s six-year probation included absolute abstinence, no possession of alcohol or other controlled substances without a valid prescription, no contact with known drug users or dealers, and no possession or possession of firearms.
Chelsea was on probation for three arrests in 2024.
In September 2024, she was taken into custody regarding a domestic dispute at her home with her boyfriend, Jacob Nelund.
According to the police report, officers found a meth pipe allegedly left within reach of her son, “a black and silver digital scale, a bag of used jewelry with white residue, and a sharps container containing used and unused hypodermic needles.”
A month later, Chelsea was arrested again for allegedly trying to throw a meth pipe out of her car window after being stopped in traffic.
Her third arrest, which occurred in November 2024, was for methamphetamine possession, bail jumping, and drug possession.
She pleaded guilty to all three arrests and received a six-year suspended sentence (two years on each of the three charges) in March 2025.
Chelsea had an estranged relationship with Rosie, who adopted Chelsea as a baby in 1997, for most of her adult life.
When Chelsea was sentenced in October, Rosie posted a photo of her daughter on Instagram “before her addiction took over her life.”
The comedian also asked for prayers as Chelsea “faces a frightening future.”
