Robin Wright admits to her parenting mistakes with her two children, sharing with her ex-husband, Sean Penn.
The actress, 59, said it was “not very difficult” while her daughter, Dylan, 34, and her 32-year-old son, Hopper, were growing up.
“As a mother I have a lot of regret and have experienced this fallout of regret over the years with my children.
Hopper revealed his battle with Crystal Meth addiction in 2017.
“The phone rang like, ‘Is he alive? Is she alive?”, and “I’ve been through it for years with both of them.”
The “Princess Bride” actress said that the 65-year-old Penn is much tougher for children, but he didn’t exist because of his acting career.
“But he was gone all the way,” she said. “He came back and became a police officer and then he left me with the residue.”
“Then I’ll ease the blow,” she continued. “We were both extremes, they didn’t get that grey area in the middle.
But Wright said that both Dylan and Hopper are “in a really good place.”
Wright and Penn were married for 14 years from 1996 to 2010. Both her and Penn got married and divorced three times.
She also had a long-standing online relationship with junior 14-year-old actor Ben Foster. The two broke their second engagement in 2020.
Wright is currently dating an architect Henry Smith, whom he met in England.
“He’s a lover, just right, a decent adult. He’s a guy,” she told The Times in London.
Light and Pen seem to have good conditions after divorce.
In 2023, Wright said he was friends after telling E after she and Penn were alienated! News that getting divorced while giving birth is “one of the most difficult things in life.”
“We’ll always be a family. You know whether we’re together or we’re apart. I think it’s beautiful. I want it from everyone,” she said.
