Robert Irwin feels like $1 million.
Wildlife Conservationists spoke exclusively to Page 6 following “These and Star Dancing” on Tuesday on “Tictock Night.”
“I was upset that I had to put my shirt back in! It was a bit fun, I liked it,” said 21-year-old Irwin of the dance, choreographed by his professional partner, Whitneakerson.
“(The idea) started with me. “It was like ‘Million Dollar Baby’, an edgy song, Tiktoc Night.” And I wanted to show myself a different side,” he continued.
“I knew “Cool guy Robert” was somewhere, so I said, “I want to unleash new energy.” And Witney was like, “Imperfect, let’s go for it.” And we went for it! ”
The performance began after Robert (the son of late “Crocodile Hunter” Steve Irwin and protectionist Terry Irwin) revealed that he was single and “still looking for” the perfect American girl.
His DMs have been popped since – and he’s not mad about it.
“Oh, my goodness, DMS,” said the Australian zoo with a laugh. “First of all, it’s yeah, that makes a lot of sense, but yeah, I’m keeping an eye on it.
Carson and Robert’s older sister, Bindi Irwin, has also been receiving an influx of messages from girls dating wildlife photographers.
“We’re very busy right now, girl, OK?” Carson, 31, joking. “We’re trying to win the mirror ball, so stay calm! Maybe don’t email me 100 times a day.”
The choreographer also spoke about the very serious review process she and Bindi have, saying on page six it was “stressing.”
“Bindi is taking the back seat. She says, “I can’t deal with that anymore. It’s up to you now.”
During “Tictock Night” on Tuesday, Robert and Carson salsaed on Richman’s viral hit, receiving a total score of 22/30 from judges Carrie Anne Inaba, Derek Huff and Bruno Toniori.
Naturally, social media fans couldn’t help attacking their steamy routine.
“The first smoldering, the way he removes his shirt, the way his body rolls… it’s really serious for Robert Irwin,” one user gushed with an X, while another added, “(He) just ripped his shirt…automatic 10.”
The third person rang out with a message of “Thank you.” “Robert Irwin is shirtless on my TV screen. I’m grateful for the Ballroom Gods, Whitney Carson, the Costume Division and the never-ending reasons for this blessed program.”
And despite the high scores over the week, there’s certainly been pressure for the dance duo. Many loyal viewers hope Robert secures the coveted Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy a few years after Bindi’s season 21 victory with Derek Huff.
“Bindi said, ‘I really leaned down on this and I really taste it every second,'” Robert told Ballroom Page 6 last Tuesday. “She was here the whole time. She made it for three months. She said she won and passed in the blink of an eye.”
“Dancing with the Stars” will return to “Disney Night” at 8pm next Tuesday and “Disney Night” on ABC and Disney+, with new episodes airing on Hulu the following day.
