Ricky Gelweiss is back on Netflix this time for an adult animated series about a bunch of wild cats.
Created by Emmy and Bafta Award-winning Gervee (“Afterlife”, “Extra”, “Office”), Alley Cats is scheduled to debut on Streamer in 2026. Netflix has released First Look Image.
The six-part show is called “slacker sitcom,” following the trials and hardships of a group of wild British cats from all social walks seeking dating while anti-minating everyday life.
Gervais will direct and voice one of the cats and join the cast who will reunite with many of his on-screen collaborators over the years, including Tom Basden, Andrew Brook, David Earle, Kelly Godliman, Joe Hartley and Diane Morgan. Also featuring Natalie Cassidy and Tony Way.
“I play fat, lazy, rude, opinionated creatures with fangs. He’s not as clever or brave as he thinks.
