“Real Housewives of Potomac” alum Mia Thornton has been arrested in Georgia after allegedly stealing thousands of dollars worth of furniture from a condominium she was renting.
Thornton, 40, was booked into the Fulton County Jail on Wednesday on a felony theft charge, Page Six confirmed.
Police at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Airport handcuffed the Bravolebrity, who was called to Customs and Border Protection, after being contacted by a wanted suspect, CBS News reported.
According to a police report obtained by a local CBS station, Thornton is accused of stealing furniture from a condominium he was renting in the area.
The condominium manager claimed in the report that Thornton “suddenly left the room in the middle of the night” without notice on Oct. 28.
Building management claimed that Thornton took some furniture and a television, and the total value of stolen items was estimated at approximately $11,000.
Police body camera footage showed Thornton telling police he knew there was a warrant out for his arrest.
Page Six reached out to Thornton’s contact information, but did not immediately receive a response. The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Thornton announced in April that she would be leaving “The Real Housewives of Potomac” after appearing on the reality series for four seasons and moving to Atlanta.
“With every new season comes a new beginning. I have news to share,” Thornton said in an April 21 Instagram post.
“My family and I have made the decision to move to Atlanta. As a result, I will not be returning to The Real Housewives of Potomac next season.”
“I don’t just make headlines. I make history. Brace yourselves, Atlanta. The empire has grown,” she concluded.
