Mary Sol Patton gets emotional as she reflects on the physical shame of Adriana de Mula in “The Real Housewives of Miami.”
At the Page 6 “Virtual Reality” Awards held in New York City on Wednesday, Patton and Alexia Nepola recall the screams that began in the eighth episode of season 7. Oral Tiff finally cried out during the cast’s yacht day.
Nepola noted that the pair “we couldn’t hear because they were on another boat.” However, Patton said he heard the body shaming jab “loud and transparent.”
The emotional Patton spoke to hosts Evan Lean and Danny Evans during a stage discussion.
“You know, and you shouldn’t do that about anyone today, but this is the world we live in,” Nepola said at the event.
“We don’t support that,” she continued. “Unfortunately, you’re watching it on our show. Sorry, I can’t control it.”
Murphy said body shaming was “low for no reason” as Patton wiped out his tears.
Murphy and Real appeared in the first few seasons of “Rom,” reassuring reality star 58 that fans have “so much love” for both her, who died in 2019 at the age of 84, and her late mother Elsa.
“We miss Mama Elsa, we miss her!” The crowd cheered, and Real said, Nepola agreeing, “I too.”
Nepola (58) and Patton first appeared in the Bravo hit series from 2011 to 2013. The show then paused before it revived in 2021.
They both returned to the show’s reboot. This first aired on Peacock before returning to Bravo.
“The Real Housewives of Miami” OGS was recognized at her first VRT awards ceremony on Wednesday at the Golden Kettle Awards, a “Lifetime Achievement Award Version” for virtual Reali-Tea on Reality TV.
