Meghan has reportedly claimed that her ex-husband Jim Edmonds leaked her mobile phone number to a sex worker for the purpose of harassing her years ago.
According to TMZ, the “Real Housewives of Orange County” alum mentioned the incident to police when discussing a recent phone threat she received from an unknown caller.
According to the report, the reality TV star turned herself in in September 2025 and claimed to have received harassing phone calls, in which the caller threatened to harm her and the former MLB star’s children, according to a report from the Kirkwood, Missouri, police department.
According to TMZ, the calls had been going on for months, but had gotten “increasingly bad” in the two days leading up to her visit to the police station, where she claimed the caller had made “crazy and explicit threats” against her.
According to TMZ, she claimed she blocked the stranger’s number after she got involved, but they simply continued contacting her using a different number.
Police listened to voicemails left by the alleged callers, one of which said the Bravolebrities were “going to jail.” They also allegedly threatened to “grab, hurt, and kill” the reality personality and her children.
“The suspect spoke in a rambling and unsteady manner, sometimes calmly and sometimes rapidly, with frequently repeated phrases and details,” the report said.
She also claimed to authorities that Edmonds was “losing his mind” during a tense custody battle over their daughter Aspen, 9, and twin sons Hart and Hayes, 7, the newspaper reported.
Asked if he thought the athlete had anything to do with the report, King mentioned the custody battle, but said he didn’t know, according to the report.
According to TMZ, King claimed that Edmonds had harassed her in the past through a third party, and that he gave her cell phone number to a sex worker several years ago “with instructions to harass her.”
She then claimed that after what she called an “overwhelming wave of calls and text messages,” she received a text message “from an unknown number, including a photo of the text message with instructions for (Jim) to harass her,” according to the report.
An investigation has been launched into harassing text messages and phone calls. “Due to the nature of the threat, an email was sent to the entire department requesting increased patrols of (Meghan’s) residence,” the report said, according to TMZ.
However, a representative for Edmonds told TMZ that King’s claims are “ridiculous.”
Steve Honig told the magazine: “This is the first time anyone’s heard of this and it’s ridiculous.” “Jim spends his time raising kids in Tennessee, so he doesn’t have time for that nonsense.”
Representatives for Mr. Edmonds and Mr. King did not immediately respond to Page Six requests for comment on Saturday.
The former couple, whose divorce was finalized in 2021, are embroiled in a custody battle over their three children.
The model, 41, temporarily lost custody of her child in November 2025 after she was accused of giving Hayes unprescribed ADHD medication and asking the school nurse to administer it. Sources told Page Six at the time that Hayes had not been diagnosed with ADHD.
Officials say Jim and his current wife, Courtney Edmonds, flew from their home in Tennessee to be with their children in Missouri after allegedly receiving a call from Child Protective Services.
As the controversy raged, Dr. King was granted supervised visitation with his children twice a week.
The former couple reached a custody agreement ahead of a hearing scheduled for December. “The custody hearing was canceled and both parties reached an agreement that was in the best interests of the children,” Honig told Page Six in December.
Under the agreement, King would see the children “for a few weeks each summer,” Page Six confirmed at the time, but a source told Us Weekly that King agreed to have the three children live full-time with the Edmonds family in Tennessee.
On Dec. 23, the TV star shared a meme to her Instagram Stories with a cryptic message about her year. “It’s been a rough year, but at least I didn’t buy lovey-dovey,” the meme read.
She added at the beginning of the upload, “Many ‘super rare’ things happened (just saying) 🤷♀️.”
