“Real Housewives of Orange County” alum Lynne Curtin’s youngest daughter claims she is homeless and addicted to drugs.
Alexa Curtin spoke about her plight on LA To You Int. The YouTube channel spoke in an impromptu interview last week at a gas station in crime-ridden Lancaster, California.
“A lot of bad things have happened since I moved here,” Alexa, 33, said on her YouTube channel, known for her interviews on the streets of LA.
“This is not a safe place. I’ll probably end up going back to Orange County. I hope I get there,” Alexa added.
Alexa admitted to using fentanyl for about six or seven years, so her hair was disheveled and her teeth were chipped.
“I was doing heroin, and then I met some people, and they introduced me to fentanyl, so I started doing fentanyl, and basically, my life was like downhill,” she said with a nervous laugh.
Alexa said she started dating “the wrong people” and people who were “smoking fast.” However, she claimed that her life was “more peaceful” and that she “didn’t spend as much money anymore”.
“I used to use it a lot, but now I don’t use it as much,” she said.
Alexa said she lost two fingers in a car accident due to her drug use.
“That’s kind of gross,” she said.
Alexa, who lives on the streets, said “really bad things” had happened to her and detailed a time when she was sexually assaulted.
“I was in a really bad situation, a guy handcuffed me, I tried to break the window with my head, but I couldn’t, and he covered my mouth, I covered my nose, I couldn’t breathe, and he raped me for about two hours,” she said.
Alexa said the man threatened to kill her, but “eventually he let[her]go.”
“At that time, I really thought it was over,” she said. “A lot of bad things have happened since I moved here. This is not a safe place.”
“It’s not easy being white and living on the street, you know?” she continued. “But you hear all the time about girls being raped[in Lancaster]even if they’re of other races. So you really have to protect yourself.”
Alexa revealed that she doesn’t currently have a cell phone and is trying to earn money to buy one. She also admitted that she had no identification or social security card.
“I have nothing,” she said. “We literally have to start from scratch. It’s going to be difficult, but we’re actively working on it.”
When asked if she had ever held a job, Alexa answered, “Yes,” before going on to detail her short-lived porn career.
“Actually, I worked a lot growing up. I was a hostess for a little bit, but then…I moved to Los Angeles, did porn for about a year, then quit porn, moved back to Orange County, got my boobs done, got my nose done, and I was like, ‘Bowling!’ you know? “
“Then, unfortunately, all the money was gone and I was really disappointed. I was back in the same place again,” she said.
Alexa claimed that she is “currently isolated” from her parents, who currently live in San Diego.
“Maybe when I get sober again, they’ll offer me money again,” she said. “But for now, they don’t want anything to do with me.”
Alexa said her life was “unstable” from an early age as her parents moved frequently.
“In a way, it became difficult for me to have a foundation to build my life on, and I was held back and couldn’t even be successful in many things. There was so much more I could have done,” she said.
Alexa said it was very difficult for her to “change school systems so often”.
“I didn’t have a stable relationship,” she said.
When asked if she had any words of wisdom she would pass on to her younger self, she said, “Stay within your network of friends and family.”
“Don’t isolate yourself. Try to stay involved. If you don’t get involved, you’ll probably get depressed and make bad choices or rely on bad friends and end up in the wrong place at the wrong time,” she said. “Then you can develop an addiction to drugs or alcohol and it can really ruin your life.”
Alexa has been in and out of prison for years on drug-related charges.
In 2019, she filed for divorce from her estranged husband Michael DeVecchio. It came just a month after her mother filed for divorce from her estranged husband, Frank Curtin.
Lin, 70, appeared on seasons four and five of Bravo from 2008 to 2010, and also guest-starred on seasons six and ten. She and Frank also have a daughter, Raquel Curtin.
