Last year, Kyle Richards reportedly filed a lawsuit to have his sister Kim Richards evicted from her Los Angeles condo.
The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star filed the surprising lawsuit against Kim in January 2025, according to court documents obtained by TMZ on Saturday.
Kyle, 57, claimed that Kim, 61, had lived in their two-bedroom home in Encino, Calif., for years and that he first asked her to move out at the end of 2024.
However, Kim is said to have not responded to the initial lawsuit, and a default judgment was ultimately granted in March 2025 ordering Kim to hand over his assets.
Additional court documents obtained by the outlet, dated June 2025, show that the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department attempted to sentence Kim.
However, she allegedly left the Encino base before being assigned a mission.
Representatives for Kyle and Kim did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
Kim co-starred with her sister, also a reality star, on RHOBH for the first five seasons of the Bravo hit from 2010 to 2015.
Kim left Housewife after season 5 due to personal struggles, but returned a few seasons later.
Meanwhile, Kyle remains a housewife and is the only original cast member to still appear on the popular series since it premiered 16 years ago.
Their other sister, Kathy Hilton, 67, also appears on RHOBH as a “friend” of the cast.
In 2024, Kim became a hot topic when it was reported that she had to be hospitalized in a psychiatric hospital for 72 hours due to a relapse of drug abuse.
Kim hasn’t spoken publicly about her struggles with substance abuse, but Kyle and Cassie have spoken out in recent years.
“Kim and I have never had any problems,” Cassie told Us Weekly in October 2024. “She’s going through a tough time, but she’s doing better now.”
As for Kyle, she told Page Six during a chat that same month that she and Kathy were doing their best to support Kim.
“You know, we’re a family, so when something happens to someone, we all stick together and revolve around each other and try to be there and lift each other up,” she told Us.
“So that’s what I’ve been trying to do,” Kyle continued. “Of course, I don’t want to show you the most difficult parts of my life, but I don’t have that luxury.”
