Renee Rapp makes her Austin City Limits debut!
PEOPLE can exclusively share the singer and Mean Girls star’s performance clip from an all-new episode of Austin City Limits TV. She opened her set with a performance of “Leave Me Alone,” a song she said was essentially “slam poetry.”
The show will air on PBS on Saturday, January 17, with all episodes available to stream at pbs.org/austincitylimits and on the free PBS app. The 26-year-old rapper serenaded fans on a dimly lit stage wearing a black dress with intricate beading and sequins in different shades of blue and green.

“Austin, this next song is called ‘I Think I Like You Better When You’re Gone,'” the singer said of the penultimate song on the setlist. This song is also included in the album “Bite Me”.
The crowd cheered her on, eager to hear what she had in store.
“I would love it if you could sing with me. What do you think?” Rapp asked, which led to even louder applause.
“Can you do it? Oh, it’s perfect, thank God,” she joked, before launching into a ballad among seven consecutive bangers.

An October 23, 2025 post on her Instagram account showed the entertainer with the same appearance as seen at the performance. “Everything is bigger in Texas,” she captioned the carousel.
Rap’s ACL TV episode is part of an all-new lineup, with multiple 2026 Grammy nominee Leon Thomas set to appear on the one-hour season finale on February 7th.
