Renate Reinsve talks about her wildest moments in Hollywood.
Speaking to Elle in an article published on Wednesday, November 12, the 37-year-old actress recalled a particularly silly moment from her early career. That was when she attended a wedding with Sebastian Stan, her co-star in “Different Man,” even though she wasn’t invited.
“Sebastian Stan and I botched our wedding,” Reinsbe admitted. “Even though I did ‘The Baddest Man in the World,’ I wasn’t famous at all at that point.”
“I thought I was going to be the Invisible Man, but we both saw that movie and fell in love, so we ended up getting married. I was like their mascot,” she added.

Released in 2021, “The Worst Man in the World” is a romantic comedy about a woman in her 30s who, according to the synopsis, “struggles with indecision while navigating the complicated waters of her love life and ever-changing career path.”
Reinsve and Stan first worked together in the 2024 film Different Man, in which Stan played the role of Edward, an actor who was diagnosed with neurofibromatosis and was successfully treated for facial deformities. He tells his playwright neighbor Ingrid (Reinsve) that Edward has died and assumes a new identity: Guy Moratz. Years later, Ingrid tells Edward that she is producing a play called Edward, based on his life.
The synopsis for the film reads: “His new dream face quickly turns into a nightmare as he loses the role he was born to play and becomes obsessed with regaining what was lost.”
Following the success of A Different Man, Reinsve and Stan decided to work together again. This time it’s “Fjord,” a family drama scheduled to be released in 2026.
Fjord meets the Gheorghiu family, including his Romanian father (Stan) and Norwegian mother (Reinsve), and begins a new life in a small Norwegian village. The couple became friends with the Norwegian and Swedish Halbergs, and their respective children also became close friends. However, the Geogius family is suspected of “disturbing behavior” and quickly becomes the center of attention in the small town.
