With artificial intelligence looming in multiple creative industries, actress Reese Witherspoon believes filmmaking will change dramatically in the near future as Hollywood adapts to new viewing habits.
In a recent interview with the New York Times, Witherspoon talked about how the range of attention for her two children was different from her generation. She said this pointed to where Hollywood was heading.
“I realized that the kids aren’t going to the movies,” Witherspoon says. “I had a teenager. I went to films every Friday and Saturday night. The kids don’t go to films. Usually people watch one movie a year in the theater with their kids. You don’t lament the fact that the audience doesn’t show up or I don’t call it “old school flames or “old school flames.” Up to 3 years. ”
After the interviewer asked if cognitive changes were due to the recent rise of artificial intelligence, Witherspoon agreed and explained in detail how she saw the recent growth of technology. “Everyone knows it. You need to understand how it happens, because we still have to layer consciousness on it and use it as a tool. Otherwise it’s just a runaway train.”
Witherspoon also mentioned the founding of her latest company, Snee. Snee focuses on creating a digital magazine for young Gen Z women. Witherspoon is the creator of the company and spoke about changing the economics of working in entertainment. “Time is the biggest asset, so when you have a company like me, you have to be practical. You can’t waste your time on things you can’t make.”
