Travis Kelsey penned a heartfelt letter to the “love of his life” Taylor Swift before his final Ellas tour performance.
The emotional moment when Swift read the letter aloud backstage before her Dec. 6, 2024 Vancouver performance was aired in episode 6 of her docuseries, “The End of an Era.”
“I have so many incredible memories from this tour, but one that stands out the most is meeting you at your first concert,” the letter begins.
The pop star laughed and read the next sentence. “I was fascinated by a woman who didn’t even know me, and she stole my leg.”
“A special thank you to (tour manager) Robert (Allen) for organizing this legendary tour and for letting me stop in Kansas City, Missouri. That night in KC was the beginning of me meeting the love of my life,” Kelsey’s letter concluded.
The NFL star attended the Elas Tour stop at Arrowhead Stadium on July 8, 2023, and was referring to the moment he unsuccessfully tried to give the singer a friendship bracelet with his number on it.
He then appeared on the podcast “New Heights” and told listeners that he was upset because she “didn’t want to” see him.
Despite losing their relationship on that show, the pair quietly started “hanging out” two months later and have been a power couple ever since.
The documentary series highlights how the three-time Super Bowl champion was a source of emotional support for Swift throughout her grueling tour.
This was especially shown when he was the first person she called after returning to the London stage, days after the failed terrorist attack at Austria’s Ernst Happel Stadium, where she was supposed to perform.

“Baby, the crowd was like they knew I needed to cheer up. They were — when I came out on stage, they were the wildest I’ve ever seen them,” she said out loud, letting her know he could hear the joy in her voice.
“I’m very happy to be able to return to this activity in a functional way. For example, I was so happy that I thought I would forget how to play the guitar or sing,” she added.
The couple has publicly supported each other in their respective careers, and the Grammy winner poked fun at their dynamic in episode four of the docuseries.
During the episode, Swift explained how being a tight end is a “perfect fit” for him because “the passions coexist and really inspire each other.”
“At the end of the day, we love to support each other,” the songstress added. “That’s amazing.”
According to her, “Travis is a true yes-man when it comes to life itself. He’s willing to try anything.”
“The End of an Era” is available to stream on Disney+.
