Ray J has been arrested after allegedly pointing a gun at Princess Love and threatening to shoot a man during a disturbing Thanksgiving livestream, according to reports.
The 44-year-old rapper is currently being held in a Los Angeles-area jail, TMZ reported.
During the livestream, Ray J said that his children will be with him over the holidays and that “no one is going to take them away from me on Thanksgiving.” He claimed that people were threatening him and that he appeared to grab a handgun and load it in front of the camera.
“I’m in my house, and if I walk in this door, I’m going to blow this motherfucker away, brother,” he said. “I won’t say that, please leave me and my children alone.”
He appeared to stand up with a gun when Princess Love, 41, entered the house and told him she was taking the children. The On Again, Off Again couple have two children, daughter Melody, 7, and son Epic, 5.
When Princess goes to pick up someone she thinks is Melody, Ray J accuses her and her cousin of being drunk.
“Drink and drive, Princess,” he told her. “I’d like to take my children, you and your drunken cousin, because you’re all drunk as alcoholics. Then take my children, please.”
The Princesses then repeatedly accused him of pointing a gun at them. She also called him a “woman abuser” and “delusional.”
The situation escalated when she refused to take her son, and that’s when she heard another man’s voice.
Ray J told him, “I swear to God, I’m going to shoot the shit out of you.”
The scuffle appears to continue off-screen, with Ray J heard repeatedly saying, “I’m going to kill you, brother.”
The man can be heard saying he was trying to help Ray J, but the man appeared to try to defuse the situation by saying, “Let’s calm down.”
Background audio showed a crying child and police attempting to rush into the scene.
Sources tell TMZ that police were called around 4 a.m. in reference to a possible domestic violence incident involving threats. Officers reportedly arrived, vacated the residence, and took the suspect into custody.
A representative for Ray J did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Princess Love filed for divorce from Ray J for the fourth time in February 2024. This was the fourth divorce attempt since May 2020, as the two continued to reject previous demands while working through their differences.
However, the two were spotted kissing at a Bow Wow concert in Miami in April.
