People We Meet on Vacation, starring Emily Bader and Tom Bryce, follows best friends Poppy (Bader) and Alex (Bryce) as their relationship develops into a romantic one as they travel together every year for years.
Netflix went all out to promote the release of Henry’s first of five planned film adaptations, two of which are in production at the streamer, with an in-person event on a rainy January day that brought summer to New York City through a giant heated dome filled with fake sandwiches, mixed drinks, free swag, and snacks.

Henry, Vader, and Bryce appeared at an event on January 10, the day after the premiere of “Vacation”. Henry gave a live reading of the first chapter of the book, sponsored by New York-based romance bookstore The Ripped Bodice, marking the first time she has read her work live in-person.
“I want to thank everyone for being here and supporting me and supporting this book,” Henry told fans who attended the live reading. “It’s true that this film wouldn’t exist without you guys. And I know I’ve said things like that a lot, but it’s really true. This industry is a very expensive, very risk-averse industry, and I’m grateful for your support and love for this book. And luckily, Netflix agreed and was really, really supportive and let us all do it. I use the word “we” very loosely, because I’m not the one making this movie, but they allowed it. I learned that we were able to make the movies we wanted to make, and that’s very rare and very special. ”

Currently, his books Funny Story and Happy Place are on Netflix, and other studios are releasing Book Lovers and Beach. Henry, who is working on a film adaptation of “Read”, added: “I’m so excited for this movie to be released and I hope you love it as much as I do. I hope you continue to love this book and enjoy the differences between the two and absorb both the front and the back, because that’s what I’m going to do. I’m going to keep watching this movie over and over again.” Many more years. ”
