Lainey Wilson, Jason Aldean and Bailey Zimmerman were announced as headliners for CBS’s annual “Big Year Day Live: Big Bash in Nashville” special.
The show will air in CBS’s eastern and Pacific time zones from 8pm on December 31st to 1:30pm on January 1st, with 30 minutes on local news from 10pm to 10:30pm.
Also named for the performer’s first development on Monday is gospel artist Seko Winans, who will sing alongside Tennessee’s renowned Fisk Jubilee singer. Additional performers will be announced in the coming weeks.
Live Broadcast’s headquarters will be a public stage set up at Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park in Nashville.
As streaming availability progresses, Paramount+ Premium subscribers can stream Special Live via their local CBS affiliate or on-demand live feeds. Paramount+ Essential subscribers cannot stream shows live, but they have on-demand access the next day.
Robert Deaton, the longtime CMA Awards executive producer, and Mary Hilliard Harrington, one of Nashville’s top artist managers, will return as executive producers and work with Music City, the master of the Nashville Convention and Visitor Corp.
Among the headliners, Wilson is on TV as well as music. Last week, she was brought in to co-host with Luke Bryan and Payton Manning the previous year before being named the sole host of the November CMA Awards program. She is also linked to most nominations in the CMAS with six nods, including a return shot that was nominated for Entertainer of the Year.
