Disney has renewed “Project Runway” for a 22nd season, which will debut on Hulu, Disney+ and Freeform in 2026.
Heidi Klum will once again host and judge the Catwalk Competition Show, joining her mentor Christian Siriano and judges Law Roach and Nina Garcia.
This year’s Season 21 is the first to premiere under the Disney umbrella, after the show bounced back and forth between Bravo and Lifetime since its 2004 debut. Additionally, Klum returned for the first time in five seasons and welcomed celebrity stylist Roach as a judge.
Disney also revamped the series with Mouse House-themed challenges (including a Princess vs. Villain episode) and cameos from “Abbott Elementary” stars Lisa Ann Walter and Chris Perfetti. Season 21 was won by Veejay Floreska.
“Project Runway” is produced by Spyglass Media Group and Alfred Street Industries. Gary Barber and Sean Hoagland will serve as executive producers on Spyglass. Dan Cutforth, Jane Lipsitz, Nan Strait, Dan Volpe, Michael Rucker and Sun Heng serve as executive producers for Alfred Street Industries. Klum, Siriano and Garcia will also serve as executive producers, with Roach contributing to the co-EP.
“Project Runway” debuted in 2004 with host Klum and mentor Tim Gunn. The two left “Project Runway” in 2018 to lead their own fashion competition show, “Making the Cut,” on Amazon Prime Video. Karlie Kloss took over as host of Project Runway for the next two seasons, with Season 4 winner Christian Siriano serving as her mentor. In seasons 19 and 20, Siriano replaced Cross in the dual role of host and mentor.
The reality series is credited with launching the careers of designers such as Siriano, Austin Scarlett, Leanne Marshall, Irina Shabayeva, Michael Costello, and Bishme Cromartie.
