Prince Harry is reportedly reunited with his estranged father, Charles III, on his upcoming visit to the pond, rather than Prince William.
The Duke of Sussex is scheduled to come to London on September 8th, the anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s death for the annual Welchild Award, with “resolution on both sides for a (reunion) to occur.”
A source insisted by the Mirror on Thursday said, “No one pretends that the broader family issues have not been resolved, but this starts with Charles and Harry.”
The insider claimed that Harry’s team and Buckingham Palace “opened up communication,” and that “there is a real sense that reconciliation is within reach for a long time.”
The outlet reported that “there are all hopes that when Duke returns to London in September, father and son will meet each other after 20 months apart.”
In particular, the former military pilot has not seen Charles, 76, since February 2024.
Next month will be a “appropriate time to take that step” with a “simple face-to-face conversation between a father and son.”
The source said: “This is not about epic gestures or set-piece meetings. The priorities are privacy and dignity, and the doors will remain open for further dialogue.
“But when it comes to Harry and William, the possibility of a settlement between them is out of hand,” the insider continued.
Reps for Harry, Charles and William did not immediately respond to Page 6’s request for comment.
Meghan Markle, the wife of the author of “Spare,” is expected to remain in Montecito, California during Harry’s trip to the UK in early September.
The “suit” alum 44 is behind along with six-year-old Prince Archie and four Princess Lillivet.
The former actress has not returned to the UK since attending Elizabeth’s funeral in September 2022. She recently called out a “hard” trip with season 2 of “Love, Meghan.”
Markle and her husband moved to the US in 2020, and since then, the couple aired their frustration during docusaries, viral interviews and more, causing a strain in Harry’s relationship with the family.
Harry, 40, spoke honestly in May about his desire to reconcile with his father, as “it’s no point in continuing to fight.”
After saying that “the only sticking” was the government’s decision to strip the publicly funded security family, Harry expanded the Olive branch the following month by inviting Charles to Invictus Games.
He also shared his official schedule with the royal family.
William said he was “reluctant” to reconcile Markle’s “lasting lack of trust” with Harry, according to Fox News Digital, which he reported last week.
