Meghan Markle and Prince Harry look back at their favourite Disney memories, from their own childhood trips to introducing Prince Archie and Princess Lillivet to “the happiest place on earth.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex appeared in the 20/20 special edition of the 20/20 broadcast on Sunday, September 21st, Disneyland, both of which recounted their visits to Disney theme parks as children.
Prince Harry, 41, recalls visiting Disney World at the age of 8 with his mother, Princess Diana, who died in 1993, and his older brother, Prince William. “I went with my mother and brother. I remember very well,” he said.
“I remember losing it as a kid with all the characters. Like losing it,” he added.

As a “southern California girl,” Meghan said visiting Disneyland was “more accessible” for her, but still “still the biggest treat in the world.” One of her memories was going to Disneyland on the night of her graduates when her high school senior was visiting the park a few hours later.
“I don’t even know why they let us do that!” she said Harry Chimming, “It sounds so much fun. Can you do that in your 40s?”
Earlier this year, Meghan and Harry celebrated their daughter’s fourth birthday on a family trip to Disneyland. And they shared that Archie and Lili’s excitement began before they entered the park.
Harry said, “They’re like, ‘This is amazing!’ “Everyone, this is trying to prepare themselves.’
He later replied, “To see children throw themselves into these experiences when they don’t know what they’re walking, it was amazing. And it brings the child out into you again.”
The celebration included a family riding a family of four, sampled snacks and admired the birthday cake topped with Little Mermaid Ariel.
A photo shared in the special showed the Duchess of Sussex screaming while on Space Mountain. He recalled, “I’ve become round and round and round. 10, maybe 12 times.”
