Duchess Kate and her eldest son Prince George made a joint appearance at a memorial festival in London.
The Princess of Wales was pictured attending the British Legion’s annual event wearing a black dress with a white lace collar. A red flower on her chest decorated the collar of her dress.
She wore her brunette hair in long, voluminous curls and smiled alongside Prince George as she greeted others at the event.
Prince George, 12, made his debut at the memorial festival in a black suit and matching tie, shaking hands with people as his proud mother looked on.
Prince Middleton and Prince George, 43, attended the traditional gathering at the Royal Albert Hall in London, along with King Charles, Queen Camilla, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, and Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh.
Prince William, who recently returned from a stay in Brazil, does not appear to be in attendance.
Prince George and Prince William were spotted together at a soccer match in Paris in April. The pair were photographed cheering from the stands when England’s Aston Villa played Paris Saint-Germain.
On May 5, the young prince made his debut at a Buckingham Palace tea party for World War II veterans hosted by King Charles and Queen Camilla.
Prince William and his wife also attended with their son.
Prince George, who turned 12 in July, is second in line to the British throne after Prince William, 43.
The Prince and Princess of Wales are said to have kept their son’s future secret as he grows up.
“[George]had a really normal childhood,” royal biographer Robert Lacey told People magazine in an August interview.
The author claimed that Prince William “delayed” telling George “until the last possible moment” that he was destined to become king one day.
“It shows special care and thoughtfulness,” Lacey said of her parenting strategy. “It also tells us about how William felt about the weight of the crown.”
Prince George is the eldest of Prince William and Duchess Kate’s three children, including daughter Princess Charlotte, 10, and son Prince Louis, 7.
