“Saturday Night Live UK” once again took a scathing look at former Prince Andrew’s relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, imagining that the scandal was ultimately nothing more than a “29-year plan” to make King Charles look good.
In last weekend’s premiere episode, breakout star Jack Shepp played Princess Diana, but tonight he plays the former Prince Andrew during a meeting at MI5 headquarters shortly after her death in 1997.
“After Princess Diana’s death, the public turned their attention to Prince Charles,” says the MI5 agent played by Celeste Dring. “Even so, one day he will be king.” “We need to make him look good. There is no easy way to say this, Your Highness. We have concluded that the only way to increase the future king’s likeability is to make everyone around him less likeable.”
“I see,” Andrew says to Shep. “Well, I love my brother, I love my country, and I’m going to do whatever it takes.”
Another agent, played by Hamed Animashone, hands Andrew a book containing a “29-year plan” to “slowly but surely convince the entire country that you…well, just read it.”
Shep, who plays Andrew, responds with a shocked expression: “So, do you actually want me to do all of this? Even the part about befriending a notorious pedophile? Before and after he was convicted? And is there no other way to make your brother look good?”
Larry Dean, who plays Peter Mandelson, and Emma Siddy, who plays Sarah Ferguson, appear as characters scouted as “agents” to help Charles look his best.
“Your Highness, if you ever find yourself in too deep, just say the password and we will step in and save you,” says the agent played by Doring. When Shep, who plays Andrew, asks for the code word, Animashaun replies, “Pizza Express, Walking,” referring to Andrew’s infamous alibi for his relationship with Epstein.
“Thank you, gentlemen, and say goodbye to your loved ones,” concluded Shep’s Andrew. “See you in 2026. Then I can finally proudly say… Live from London, Saturday night!”
