Matthew Rice is the latest addition to the cast of “The Estimated Innocent” season 2, Variety has learned.

Reese will appear in the second season of the legal drama, along with the previously announced Reed Rachel Bros Nahan. The first season of the series, which debuted in 2024, was based on a book of the same name by Scott Tarw. The second season is based on the book “The Anatomy of Murray” by Jo Murray, which is scheduled to be released in 2026.

Although exact plot and character details are kept on rap, an explanation from publisher Pan McMillan says, “When Leila Reynolds (Brosnahan) was handed her first murder, she was shocked at how well-known it was: she hopes she will guide her profession.

This shows the role of Rhys’ second Apple TV+. He will be appearing in the upcoming series, “Widow’s Bay.” He will also appear on the other side of John Krasinski on Amazon Prime video’s Silent River, and will be seen in November’s Netflix series, The Beast in Me. Other recent credits for Rhys include Britbox and BBC1’s “Toder Zero,” as well as the films “Saturday Night” and “Hallow Road.” Rhys is probably best known for his role in the FX Cold War Spy drama “The Americans,” and won an Emmy Award in 2018. He also starred in the HBO “Perry Mason” series for two seasons.

He is represented by CAA, anonymous content and United Agents.

David E. Kelley has developed “Presumed Innocent Man” for TV and is executive producer and co-showrunner under his David E. Kelley Productions (DEKP) banner. Erica Lipez will be co-showrunner and executive producer for season 2. Delinquent robot production from JJAbrams and Rachel Rusch Rich Executive Produce. DEKP’s Matthew Tinker is also executive produced. Jake Gyllenhaal, who starred in season 1, will be executive produced through nine stories. Dustin Thomason is executive producer along with Brosnahan. Turow, like Murray, is a co-executive producer. Warner Bros. TV is a studio.

“Presumed Innocent” Season 1 debuted in a critical and popular acclaim when it was released in June 2024. The first season received the best lead actors in the limited or anthology series (Gyllenhaal), the best support actors in the limited or anthology series (Bill Camp & Peter Sarsgaard), and the four lead actors in the limited or anthology series (Ruth) the best support Acress (Ruth or Anthology).
