Fiona Shaw is the latest addition to the cast of “Presumed Innocent” Season 2.
The show will feature lead Rachel Bros Nahan from the previously announced series, along with cast members Matthew Rice, Courtney B. Vance and Jack Rayner. The first season of the series, which debuted on Apple TV+ in 2024, was based on a book of the same name by Scott Turow. The second season is based on the book “The Anatomy of Murray” by Jo Murray, which is scheduled to be released in 2026.
Although exact plot and character details are kept on rap, an explanation from publisher Pan McMillan says, “When Leila Reynolds (Brosnahan) was handed her first murder, she was shocked at how well-known it was: she hopes she will guide her profession.
This marks the second series of the show with Apple TV+ and follows her role in the dark comedy “Bad Sisters.” The show previously received two Emmy nominations for her role in “Killing Eve,” and the other for “Fleabag.” Her other recent television roles include “True Detective: Night Country,” “Andor,” and “Baptiste.” In the film, she is known for appearing in the Harry Potter franchise, My Left Foot and Enola Holmes. The show was also a highly approved stage actress, winning multiple Olivier Awards and a Tony Award nomination.
She is represented by CAA and untitled entertainment.
David E. Kelley has developed “Presumed Innocent Man” for TV and is executive producer and co-showrunner under his David E. Kelley Productions (DEKP) banner. Erica Lipez will be co-showrunner and executive producer for season 2. Delinquent robot production from JJAbrams and Rachel Rusch Rich Executive Produce. DEKP’s Matthew Tinker is also executive produced. Jake Gyllenhaal, who starred in season 1, will be executive produced through nine stories. Dustin Thomason is executive producer along with Brosnahan. Turow, like Murray, is a co-executive producer. Warner Bros. TV is a studio.
“Presumed Innocent” Season 1 debuted in a critical and popular acclaim when it was released in June 2024. The first season received the best support actors of the limited or anthology series (Gyllenhaal) (Bill Camp & Peter Sarsgaard), and four lead actors of the limited or anal series (Ruth).
