Benny Blanco interrupted Sombre’s prank call to Selena Gomez on stage during Monday night’s concert, turning Sombre’s “Call Your Ex” portion into an awkward moment.
“Instead of you guys calling your ex, I’m going to call your ex,” Sombre said, before telling the audience not to shout, according to a video of the show shared via X.
Immediately after making the call, the artist heard a voice, but the artist soon realized that it was not the Disney Channel alum (33) he was trying to contact.
“Hello? Serena?” he asked into the phone, holding the speaker up to the microphone.
I heard a deep voice on the other side, as if asking, “Who is this?” Sombre, 20, replied in a playful tone: “Is this Benny Blanco?”
The ‘Back to Friends’ hitmaker tried to flirt with Blanco, but Blanco didn’t seem to be joking so he quickly hung up, telling the producer: “I’m trying to call my wife.”
Gomez married Blanco, 38, in an intimate Old Hollywood-style ceremony on September 27 in Santa Barbara, California.
The ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ alum shared the happy news on her Instagram, along with a collection of photos taken by photographer Petra Collins shortly after the couple exchanged their ‘I do’s.
The snapshots showed Gomez walking down the aisle in a custom hand-draped halterneck satin dress by Ralph Lauren with embroidery, while Blanco wore a classic black tuxedo and bow tie.
Celebrity guests attended the couple’s wedding, including Gomez’s best friend Taylor Swift and her Only Murders in the Building co-stars Martin Short, Steve Martin and Paul Rudd.
Shortly after their wedding, the “I Said I Love You First” hitmakers reportedly set off on a road trip honeymoon.
A source previously gave fans some insight into their “perfect” vacation earlier this month, telling People that the couple “loved” their romantic getaway.
“They celebrated for days during their wedding and were in high spirits. They really enjoyed taking their time and going on a road trip to explore and relax. They drove around the Cali coast and even visited Texas,” the source added.
