Post Malone has added a “designer” to her resume.
On Monday night, the “Better Now” singer debuted his new fashion line, Austin Post. Austin Post held a runway show at Maison Pozzo Di Borgo, the former apartment complex of late fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld.
Malone, 30, from Austin Richard Post, featured the first collection on the label Season 1: At First Light, a product line that focuses on “The impact of Dallas Western Southwest Ranch,” according to a press release shared with GQ.
He sent live horses down the runway for the grand finale.
“From his Texan roots to the mountains of Utah, his eyes were shaped by a year of immersed in global luxury through ranch culture, turquoise, boots, denim and music,” the statement continued.
“Drawing these foundations, the labels are fused with the western legacy of Dallas and the southwest spirit, and are reconstructed through the lens of Americana.”
Outstanding items include a fringe jacket, dark-washed denim embroidered with stars, a plaid top, and of course a medley of cowboy hats.
Meanwhile, Texas-based Lucchese Bootmaker was an exclusive footwear brand.
Malone went to the runway at the end of the show, dressed in a light denim-on-denim look, a straw hat and a belt of statement.
In an interview with WWD at the event, the 30-year-old revealed that the fashion line “he always wants to do it.” Malone said, “And why did you think hell isn’t now? The products I and my team created are really special and I think they’re talking to me. I’m very excited.”
The musician teased his latest venture via an Instagram post shared on Sunday. “Paris, France – September 1,” he captioned a photo of himself wearing a brightly washed top and jeans wearing the Canadian tuxedo look in dark shades.
And the comments are enthusiastic. “We’re ready,” one user wrote. Second added, “I’m so excited 😄”
