Pink denied reports that she and husband Carey Hart are separating after 20 years of marriage.
“So I was informed that I was separated from my husband. I didn’t know,” she said in a video shared to Instagram on Thursday. “Thank you for letting me know. Can you please tell my kids too? My 14 year old and 9 year old don’t even notice.”
She continued, “Or do you want to talk about real news? Do you want to talk about the Epstein file? Do you want to talk about systemic racism? Do you want to talk about misogyny in sports? Or do you want to talk about how classy the women’s hockey team is?” referring to other articles currently making headlines.
“Or do you want to talk about the fact that I was nominated in the first year I was eligible to be inducted into the Mother Hall of Rock and Roll? Do you want to talk about my accomplishments, or just my supposed death?”
Pink ended the video, telling fans that this was “fake news.”
“I love you all. Follow God and trash the news, you guys can do better,” she said.
A source claimed to People magazine that the couple declared their divorce for the second time on Thursday.
Representatives for Mr. Pink and Mr. Hart did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
The “Who Knew” singer, 46, and former motocross racer, 50, first met in 2001 at the Summer X Games in Philadelphia. After four years of on-and-off dating, Pink proposed at the Heart Races in 2005.
The couple married in Costa Rica in January 2006 and have two children together, daughter Willow Sage (14) and son Jameson Moon (8).
Pink announced in February 2008 that she and Hart had separated. The breakup famously inspired some of her hit songs, including “So What” and “Please Don’t Leave Me.”
A representative for the Grammy winner said at the time: “This decision was made by close friends with great love and respect for each other.” “Although their marriage is over, their friendship is stronger than ever.”
However, Pink and Hart got back together by the following year after attending couples counseling. They then welcomed Willow in June 2011 and Jameson in December 2016.
“We’re rebuilding,” Hart told People magazine in April 2010 about their breakup and subsequent reconciliation. “Sometimes you have to take a few steps back in order to move forward.”
In January 2024, while celebrating their 18th wedding anniversary, the “Just Like a Pill” singer revealed that she and Hart almost broke up again in 2023.
“Love is a lifetime of coming back to the table. To be honest, we missed most of these games. Some of them, to be honest,” she captioned a carousel of photos of her and the former motocross racer over the years.
Pink went on to say that she wears the couple’s “scars proudly” and called Hart a “stubborn, beautiful, steadfast rock.”
“The family we’ve built, the stories we’ve woven together, and the memories we continue to make are worth more than the 10 million awards anyone could give me,” she concluded her post. “We love you, and so do we.”
As for Hart, he celebrated his and Pink’s relationship on social media at the time by sharing a touching post celebrating their 18th wedding anniversary.
“In the past 18 years of my marriage to this wonderful human being, we have done so much together,” he began. “Raise two wonderful children, travel the world, go on adventures, love, argue, make up, support each other, laugh, cry, laugh some more, break up, get back together, party, grieve, grow, and so much more.”
“There’s no one on this planet I’d rather do this with than you,” Hart added. “We’ve had 22 years of each other and I’m looking forward to the next 22. As long as you don’t kill me first. I love you, baby!”
Pink most recently gushed about Heart in an Instagram post commemorating their 19th wedding anniversary in January 2025.
Last month would have been the couple’s 20th anniversary, but the “So What” singer doesn’t seem to have posted anything to mark the milestone.
