Nearly 20 years ago, Pink and Carey Hart were rumored to have broken up for the second time (though the pop star publicly denied it), and shortly before their split in 2008, the pair were plagued by rumors of infidelity.
According to Digital Spy, in August 2007, the former motocross champion, now 50, was caught getting close to a mysterious blonde woman while the pop star was away on tour.
At the time, Hart denied the rumors, telling the Las Vegas Review-Journal that it was “just a bunch of trash talk.”
“That’s a terrible rumor. There’s nothing wrong with that,” he continued.
Still, the couple’s marital problems continued to make headlines, as Pink, 46, announced in February 2008 that she had separated from Hart.
A representative for the Grammy winner said at the time: “This decision was made by close friends with great love and respect for each other.”
“Although our marriage is over, our friendship is stronger than ever,” they added.
This breakup is said to have inspired some of her hit ballads, “So What” and “Please Don’t Leave Me,” both of which appeared on her 2008 album, Funhouse.
However, when all hope seemed lost for the couple, Pink and Hart reconciled in early 2009 after attending couples counseling sessions.
In 2024, Pink candidly revealed that her relationship with Hart was on the verge of ending once again in an Instagram post commemorating their 22nd anniversary.
“Love is a lifelong journey back to the table. To be honest, we almost never made it to this table. Well, some of them,” she captioned a series of photos with Hart.
The couple was rumored to have divorced for the second time on Thursday, February 26, after 20 years of marriage.
Page Six has reached out to representatives for Pink and Hart for comment.
The “Just Give Me a Reason” hitmaker first started dating Hart after they met at the Summer X Games in Philadelphia in 2001.
Four years later, in 2005, Hart proposed, and the couple tied the knot in January 2006 in Costa Rica.
Pink and Heart are parents to two children, daughter Willow Sage (14) and son Jameson Moon (8).
