Paul McCartney is celebrating 14 years of marriage to his “lovely” wife.
On Thursday, Oct. 9, the legendary Beatles singer shared a black-and-white photo of himself and Nancy Shevell seemingly getting ready for an onstage hug. McCartney, 83, captioned the post on Instagram: “Happy anniversary to my sweet daughter Nancy Paul.”
The “Here Comes the Sun” singer and Chevell, 65, first met in 2007 and officially announced their engagement in May 2011. The couple married less than six months later in an intimate courtroom ceremony attended by family and selected friends on October 9, 2011 at Old Marylebone Town Hall in London.

Since becoming a couple, McCartney and Chevell have largely kept their relationship out of the spotlight. However, when they publicly comment on their love life, they insist that they are a normal couple.
In April, the musician answered questions about his marriage from fans on the Beatles’ official website.
“I’m curious, when it’s just you and Nancy at home away from your responsibilities and obligations, what do you do together to relax?” wrote a Facebook user named Joan. “What are your common interests?”

McCartney replied, “We chat and catch up with each other. We’ll have lunch or dinner. We love to cook, so any meal really is fine.”
She added: “We sometimes watch TV together, but I always read a book before bed. Usually it’s biographies while Nancy finishes watching a series. We’re pretty much like any other normal couple!”
Chevelle is McCartney’s third wife. He was married to Linda McCartney from 1969 until her death from breast cancer in 1998. The couple have four adult children: Heather, Mary, Stella, and James. The singer also shares 21-year-old Beatrice with ex-wife Heather Mills. Meanwhile, Cheville has one son, Arlen, from a previous relationship.

Back in August, Chevelle and McCartney went on a rare public date night when they attended a Metallica show at the Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett, New York. The pair were photographed heading to the small show, which was also attended by stars including Michael J. Fox, Sylvester Stallone, Andy Cohen, Colin Jost and Maria Menounos.
